National Technology Institute for School Counselor Offer Free Workshops for School Counselors
Philadelphia, PA - The Cittone Institute and Lincoln Technical Institute has teamed with the National Technology Institute for School Counselors (NTISC) to sponsor a series of free technology training seminars, led by NTISC founder and director Dr. Ken Hartman. The series of one-day seminars are designed to train high school guidance counselors to be as Internet savvy as the students they counsel.

The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that 98% of public schools have access to the internet, with an approximate student to computer ratio of 1:4.* Access to the internet is at its highest rate ever. This seminar will give guidance counselors the opportunity to navigate around the internet as well as their students. Guidance counselors that attend the training session will also receive Continuing Education credits.

This is the second year Cittone and NTISC will offer the series of free technology training seminars. Following last year's success, the upcoming series will include several additional dates. The training tutorials (valued at $350 each) will be held at Cittone Institutes and Lincoln Techs throughout New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Counselors attending the workshop will be awarded professional development credits.

Dr. Hartman is an internationally renowned consultant and trainer in technology, having guided thousands of educators (elementary through graduate school) and business professionals in their use of technology in their environments. For over a decade, Dr. Hartman served as the Director of Admissions and Guidance Services for the College Board. His other accomplishments included being a senior university administrator, television talk-show host and producer, commissioned officer in the United States Army, and the author of the nationally syndicated advice column called College Knowledge.
